LINEAR EQUATIONS IN TWO VARIABLES 3

 

1. The difference between two numbers is 26 and one number is three times the other. Find the numbers.

2. Solve graphically 2x – 3y = 1, 4x – 3y + 1 = 0

3. A fraction becomes 1/3 if 2 is added to both the numerator and denominator. If 3 is added to both of its numerator and denominator then it becomes 2/5. Find the fraction.

4. Solve 37x + 43 y = 123 , 43x + 37y = 117 by substitution method

5. 0.5x + 0.2y = 0.7 and 0.3x – 0.1y = 0.3 by substitution method
